Finland earned a convincing 7–1 win over Czechia in Monday's matchup at the 2025 World Deaf Ice Hockey Championships, played at Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre.
Finland took control early, scoring four goals in the first period.
- Severi Väre opened the scoring at 7:40, assisted by Santeri Taskinen and Marko Liimatainen.
- Julius Hyyppä made it 2–0 less than a minute later, assisted by Juho Leinonen.
- Severi Väre struck again at 3:45, with assists from Julius Hyyppä and Santeri Ahola.
- Aleksi Ahola added a fourth goal with just 50 seconds left in the first, assisted by Santeri Ahola.
Czechia's lone goal came from Michal Stojka at 13:38 of the first period, unassisted.
Finland continued to control the pace in the second period. Aleksi Ahola scored his second of the game just three seconds in, assisted by Elias Nurminen and Severi Väre, extending Finland's lead to 5–1.
In the third period, Finland added two more goals:
- Juho Leinonen scored at 13:03, assisted by Severi Väre and Santeri Ahola.
- Severi Väre completed his strong game with another goal at 8:24, assisted by Aleksi Ahola.
