This world-class university offers state-of-the-art athletic facilities, including two ice arenas that will host the 2025 World Deaf Ice Hockey Championships.

Father David Bauer Arena

The Father David Bauer Arena is located at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and is the main venue for the 2025 World Deaf Ice Hockey Championships. This Olympic-sized ice rink (200 ft x 100 ft) was named after Father David Bauer, a Canadian ice hockey player, coach and priest who founded the Canada men's national ice hockey team as it is known today.

Protrans Arena (formerly known as Thunderbird Arena) is a multi-sport facility located at the University of British Columbia. The arena will serve as the secondary venue for the 2025 World Deaf Ice Hockey Championships. This modern facility was a venue for the 2010 Winter Olympics hockey tournament.
